Crux Rubra Conclave No. 481 of the Red Cross of Constantine met at the Masonic Centre, Ellindon, North Bretton, Peterborough (PE3 8RD) on Wednesday 7th October 2026 for a particularly special evening.

A Warm Welcome to a New Member

The highlight of the meeting was the admission of Justin Eldred, who was welcomed into the Order and shown, in full ceremonial splendour, what it truly means to be a member of the Red Cross of Constantine. The ceremony was conducted with dignity, precision, and the characteristic warmth of the Conclave.

Distinguished Visitors

Adding further significance to the evening was the presence of the Intendant General, Tim Barrett, accompanied by his Deputy, Mark Thompson‑O’Connor. Both were escorted by the Sepulchre Guard, whose appearance always brings an added sense of occasion and ceremonial weight.

Leadership and Fellowship

The meeting was presided over by Andrew Ward, who is entrusted with guiding the Conclave’s affairs for the year. Following a superb and well‑received welcoming ceremony, the Companions retired to the Festive Board, where they enjoyed an excellent meal and the warm fellowship for which the Order is renowned.
