RED CROSS OF CONSTANTINE ON DISPLAY IN LEICESTER

Freemasons’ Hall Leicester was alive with conversation and curiosity on Saturday 20th June 2026, as Brethren, families, and visitors gathered for a vibrant Open Morning celebrating the many Companion Orders worked within the County.

Among the sixteen Orders in attendance, the Red Cross of Constantine stood out as a particularly engaging presence. Representatives from the Order welcomed visitors throughout the morning, sharing insights into its rich Christian heritage, distinctive regalia, and the unique progression through the three degrees of the Conclave. Many guests were intrigued by the Order’s deep historical symbolism and its close connection to the story of Emperor Constantine and the Labarum.

The display offered members a valuable opportunity to learn more about the Order’s structure, its ceremonial traditions, and the qualities required for admission. Conversations flowed easily as Brethren explored how the Red Cross of Constantine complements their wider Masonic journey, with several expressing renewed interest in taking the next step.

Across the building, visitors also enjoyed exploring the magnificent Holmes Lodge Room, viewing regalia from other Orders, and speaking with representatives who were on hand to explain their history and purpose. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine enthusiasm for the diversity of Masonic progression.

The Open Morning proved to be a resounding success, a celebration of fellowship, shared learning, and the commitment of the Companion Orders, including the Red Cross of Constantine, to support and inspire the wider Masonic community.
